BC Partners is the lead bidder for Centurylink's data centers
Centurylink is working towards a $2.5 billion +/- transaction with London based private equity firm, BC Partners Ltd., to sell its data center business. Louisiana-based Centurylink (NYSE: CTL) has been seeking bidders to aquire its data center business during much of 2016. Due to the complexities of separating the intertwined Centurylink businesses, a previous opportunity recently fell apart with a consortium of private equity groups which included Charlesbank Capital Partners, Berkshire Partners, Stonepeak Infrastruture Partners and GTCR, LLC.
