Five 9s Advises On San Antonio Carrier Hotel Data Center Acquisition
Five 9s Digital advised on the acquisition of the 85,000 SF fiber-rich carrier hotel data center located at Downtown San Antonio. Located at 100 Taylor Street, the data center offers access to over 25 telecom network providers and serves as San Antonio's only carrier hotel data center.
The new ownership group, H5 Data Centers, plans to build upon the existing fiber interconnection ecosystem with the addition of an initial 100 colocation cabinets immediately. The facility will continue to serve as a connectivity hub for the growing San Antonio data center market including national and international telecom networks, content distribution networks and cloud solutions providers.
The San Antonio-Austin data center market has shown signficant recent growth in data center activity with nearly 10 MWs of absorption in the first half of 2018 far exceeding historical annual activity.
