Five 9s Advises National Data Center Operator on Expansion in Kansas City

Five 9s provided advisory services to Netrality Data Centers on its acquisition of a data center in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The building, located at 7801 Neiman in the City of Shawnee, spans 172,000 SF with power capacity of 5 MWs. Netrality Data Centers also owns the 1102 Grand carrier building in the Kansas City CBD which, with the Neiman Road acquistion, allows for a 1-millisecond round trip latency bewteen the two data centers.

Five 9s assisted the Netrality in the identification of the optimal building in the Kansas City area, negotiations relating to the purchase of the property and validation of the power, network connectivity and building features. As part of the transaction, the Shawnee City Council approved the issuance of $56.2M of Federally Taxable Private Activity Revenue Bonds for the development and renovation of the building.
